The Foundation Needs You

If you are a member of an association, a family, a group of friends, colleagues at work, or a club, the Foundation needs you to organise in your community fund raising events for the benfit of the Foundation. It does not matter the type of event; any fund raising activity creates awareness of Ataxia in the community and directly contributes to the financing of the research project. Be creative and take on the challenge! Please keep the Foundation informed of your activities.

Students in Héberville involved in their community

The students at the Curé-Hébert school in Héberville, Lac St-Jean are organising a fashion show and a wine and cheese on Thursday May 6 at 5:30pm. All proceeds will be donated to the Foundation. For additional information, please contact the Foundation by email at ataxia@arsacs.com.

Great students'initative at the CEGEP of Chicoutimi

As part of their project management course, the students in business administration at the CEGEP of Chicoutimi raised during their Fall session a total of $1,015.00 for the Foundation's research project. More than 125 participants have attended the fund raising show organised by Catherine Laberge et Anne-Julie Simard on November 21 with the signer Clément Jacques Trembaly. Many thanks to Catherine and Anne- Julie and to all the participants for their contribution!

APGVS Golf tournament at Ville de Saguenay

The APGVS golf tournament organised this summer by Carol Tremblay, Gilles Morissette, Lucien Turcotte, Steeve Julien and Gérald Gauthier contributes $6,500 to the Foundation's research project. Thank you to the organisers and to the many golfers for their support and generosity.

"Shaved Head Challenge ", Monday November 23 in Montreal.

As part of the charitable campaign at work, some colleagues have generously and courageously volunteered for the "Shave your head Challenge".The shaving session was held on November 23rd at the Complexe Louis Favreau, Montreal. The funds raised will go to the Foundation of Ataxia Charlevoix - Saguenay ($2,010.00) and to Leucan ($2,622.50), a support organisation for children with cancer. Thank you to the organisers, candidates and all donors.

Walking rallye in Terrebonne , November 8

More than 40 individuals at the walking rallye in Terrebonne on November 8th and $4 000 for the research on ARSACS. See article in the Revue. Many thanks to all the organisers and the participants.
