Dr. Dupré is a clinical and research neurologist who specialises in neuromuscular and neurogenetic diseases. His practice is at the Centre hospitalier affilié universitaire de Québec (Enfant-Jésus Hospital), and he is also an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University. Dr. Dupré endeavours to discover the genes that determine a predisposition to neurodegenerative diseases in the population of Quebec, such as hereditary ataxias. He works in close collaboration with the Brain Disease Research Center (Université de Montréal), where he is a member of Dr. Guy Rouleau’s laboratory.

Currently an Associate Professor at McGill University, he also directs the Molecular Neurogenetics Laboratory at the McGill University Centre for Research in Neurosciences. He is also research director at the CHU Ste Justine Research Centre.
